Fairmont Ridge Community Hike
Hike Summary
Fairmont Ridge is a city own recreational space that cows frequently roam along side other wildlife and people out trying to enjoy their time outside. The trail that we hiked on the 29th was a loop trail that was roughly two miles long in total with about 400 feet in elevation being steep in parts but a very well maintained and gem of a hike just outside the city. The photos show how diverse the climate in the short trail really was, from shaded oak trees with an abundant moss growth to dry stretches where its nothing but gorgeous rocks and a few arid plants scattered about. Once we all made it to the top we took about an hour break to enjoy a picnic and talk amongst each other to form new bonds. After we decided we all had enough time to recoup, we continued back down the ridge to where we started and wrapped up with one last group photo by the entrance sign before heading our separate ways.
